Keratoconus/Post Corneal Transplant Fitting

Keratoconus is a medical condition characterized by thinning and irregularity of the front surface of the eye known as the cornea. In many cases of keratoconus, spectacle correction may not provide adequate vision and gas permeable contact lenses may be necessary. Gas permeable lenses may also be necessary following corneal transplantation due to astigmatism or imbalance between the two eyes. The cost of the initial fitting is not billed to your medical insurance. Material charges are separate, and these fees are due at the initial fitting visit. We will bill your medical insurance carrier for follow-up visits to monitor your medical condition. If your medical insurance denies claims for this procedure, you will be responsible for payment.

Refund / Return Policy

Refund policy varies by the type of lens, number of visits, etc. In most circumstances, professional fees are non-refundable. Material fee refunds vary by type of lens. Some lenses are custom ordered and cannot be returned.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged lenses. If you have questions regarding your contact lenses or fees, please ask the doctor or technician.
